Dollar General Corporation of Goodlettsville, TN announced the location of the company’s eighth distribution center on a 177 acre site in Union County, SC. The 1.1 million square foot facility will support Dollar General’s existing and future stores in the southeast region of the United States. The company announced a capital investment of $70 million and expects to employ more than 600 people. In addition, the company’s third party transportation provider expects to employ up to 125. McCallum Sweeney Consulting teamed with James N. Gray Company, a Lexington, KY engineering and construction firm, in the execution of the site selection project.
