Dollar General Corporation of Goodlettsville, TN announced the location of the company’s ninth distribution center on a 188 acre site in Marion, IN. The 1.1 million square foot facility will support Dollar General’s existing and future stores in the Midwestern United States. The company announced a capital investment of $70 million and expects to employ more than 500 people. In addition, the company’s third party transportation provider expects to employ approximately 90. McCallum Sweeney Consulting teamed with James N. Gray Company, a Lexington, KY engineering and construction firm, in the execution of the site selection project.
