Sarah White, a senior consultant, has provided site selection services for clients for more than nine years with McCallum Sweeney Consulting.

Presently, Ms. White is providing site evaluation and labor and incentives analysis on numerous major site location projects including manufacturing and distribution operations. Her site selection experience carries across a wide variety of industries including: chemicals, food, advanced materials, consumer products, forest products, renewable energy, and more.

One of Ms. White’s recently announced projects was a manufacturing facility for DRT America, a sulfate turpentine distillation plant that located in Effingham County, Georgia. Over the years, she has supported site selection and incentives negotiations for several distribution projects for Dollar General and a manufacturing facility for Aquion Energy. She has also provided siting support for headquarters relocations including BMC to Atlanta, Georgia and Hertz to Estero (Fort Myers), Florida. Past projects also include siting announcements for a carbon fiber manufacturing facility for a joint venture between SGL Group and BMW Group to produce zero and low emission vehicles and Alstom Power Inc. with the location decision for their first United States wind turbine manufacturing operation.

Ms. White provides economic development consulting and is currently managing site certification programs for Cleco and the South Carolina Department of Commerce and assists with site evaluations/certifications for numerous private landowners. She also assists with a site evaluation program for Duke Energy that covers Duke’s territory in the Carolinas, Indiana, and Ohio/Kentucky. In addition, she speaks regularly at industry and economic development forums on site evaluation and emerging trends in economic development.

Ms. White graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Her professional background includes an internship with the South Carolina Department of Commerce with the South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development and Human Resources Office. She is also a member of the South Carolina Economic Developers Association (SCEDA).
